Farewell!

Dear all,

I just want to say thank you for being excellent students, and I have to say that I enjoyed your class even more than you have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to carry on this class with you. Administration could not resolve the conflict in time that I have so I resigned. I wish you all the best in your lives and careers.
Hope you will keep in touch with me from time to time and let's use this Blog to share goodies. Farewell!

Happy Family Day

Happy Family Day to all of you!

I have created a Google Doc. on my Google Drive and here is the link for it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gQDT8iBI-wIX_JiX_PRSXRsJSw1UZhghEHUO04Cn1T0/edit?usp=sharing

I copied the same exact task for you on Google Doc., as I saw that no one did the task on his/her blog. So, I thought of creating this new venue for us; hopefully, it is easier for everyone.

Please do read and follow the instruction I have added to recognize each one's contribution.
Also, you can add your comments on these two platforms I have created just to share feedback.

  2. Paste on a Word doc.
  3. Answer, save, and paste it on your blog

 Vocabulary Logs

Reasons for the logs:

· to keep a record of words you are learning in class. This record can be used for review.
· to practice using new words in context
· to build vocabulary by identifying words in the same word family

Expectations: Enter new words from lessons or from texts that we cover in class and as homework assignments.

Organization: the best way to organize words is by theme. That’s why it’s best to organize them by individual texts or class topics. We tend to remember words best when they have a semantic (meaning) connection.

*example: I learned this word in a lesson on reporting workplace accidents. I saw this work in an article entitled “___.”

An Example of a Log Entry:

1) The word

2) The part of speech (verb, adj., etc.)

3) The pronunciation (stress, etc.)

4) An example sentence which contains the word.
5) A synonym or definition/explanation.

6) Other words in the same word family

 funny

Adj.

“u” sound = “u” in “sun”
